Pull Apart Bread Christmas Tree

image1 (4).jpeg

1 lb. refrigerated pizza dough

1/2c grated Parmesan cheese

1/4c melted butter

Fresh Mozzarella ball

1 egg

dried basil, parsley, & rosemary

marinara sauce

pre heat oven to 450 degrees

Slightly grease a baking sheet

cut mozz ball into 1" pieces

cut pizza dough into 2" squares

Wrap the pizza dough tightly around the 1" balls of mozzarella. Firmly squeeze as to ensure the dough is wrapped all the way around the cheese. Place seam side down on the baking sheet. Form a tree shape as you go along (see picture). When that is complete, brush on the egg wash (this consists of mixing one egg with slightly the same amount of water to create a "wash").

bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden.

while this is baking, whisk together the melted butter, parmesan cheese, and herbs. Once your bread is done and out of the oven, immediately brush on this mixture.

Now it's time to pull apart your creation and enjoy!

Optional: Marinara dipping sauce. You can find pre-made in the Italian aisle or home make it.

Stay tuned for tomorrow's recipe...it's surely not one to disappoint! I mean, let's be real...are any really?!

enjoy! special thanks to Chrissy for sharing this drool worthy recipe with us!
