On the 8th & 9th Day of Recipes, my true love made for me...

Hi Friends! It's a DOUBLE FEATURE! Yep, not only do you get one delish recipe but TWO! Winner Winner chicken dinner! And you're going to LOVE this! My sweet friend Ashlee @thesassybarn has provided us with these delicious recipes to add to our holiday menu! 


Four Cheese Mac n' Cheese

Ingredients:

1 box of macaroni noodles

1 C sharp cheddar cheese, sliced

1 C colby jack cheese, sliced

1 C Velveeta, cut into cubes

1 C Gouda, sliced

2 C Milk or Cream

Stick of Butter

Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions:

Cook the noodles until done. Layer half in the crock pot first, then add half of the cheeses, and 1/4 stick of butter, the other half of noodles, the remainder of the cheese, butter, salt, and pepper.  Pour 1/2 the Milk (or cream) over the top. Let this cook on low for 3 hours. When done, stir to mix it all together. Add the rest of the milk or cream to add a creamier consistency.

Garnish with your favorite topping, like crumbled bacon or cheezits. 

 


Peppermint Candy Cane Ice Cream

Ingredients:

Ice Cream Maker (Kitchen Aid attachment or Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker for example)

3/4 C finely crushed candy canes (about 30 Starlight candies or mini candy canes)

1 1/2 C heavy cream

1 1/2 C milk

2/3 C Sugar

1 TBSP vanilla extract

3/4 tsp peppermint extract

1/8 tsp fine sea salt

Directions: 

Crush the candy canes in a food processor or blender and pulse until the candy is broken down. Whisk together the cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, peppermint extract, and salt. Add the crushed candy and whisk until mostly combined. Pour into your ice cream maker and process for 15-20 minutes. Serve Immediately for soft serve or transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm.
